Welcome to the July 2021 newsletter of
the East Harlem Giglio Society!

 

We are happy to announce WE ARE BACK!

We hope that this email finds you and your family healthy and well after this past year. We prayed for each of your safety and health and will continue to pray. May Saint Anthony continue to watch over us.

The warm days of summer have arrived and the East Harlem Giglio Feast is only a few weeks away!
In this month’s newsletter, we will let you know the schedule of all our upcoming Giglio Feast related events. From Giglio Feast Days and times, BBQ to our feast entertainment, everything you need to know is in this newsletter!

The Lyrics for our East Harlem Giglio Songs have been translated and uploaded to our website!

One of the great parts of the East Harlem Giglio Feast is the amazing voice of gifted tenor and Gilio member Jimmy Alleva and the music of Danny Vecchiano and his Giglio Band.

The songs sung throughout Giglio Sunday are an important part of our tradition and feast. If you ever wanted to  sing along, now you can!

We have posted the lyrics to two of our songs, the 106 Street song and the 108 street song on our website.  Since the songs are sung in the native Neapolitan dialect, we even translated it into standard Italian, and into English!
