Columbus Day Parade
 October 13th 2014

Dear Members & Friends,

We are Proud to announce that we will be marching in the annual Columbus Day Parade on 5th Avenue in NYC on Monday October 13th. As you may know this Parade is aired Live on National TV.

We cordially invite all our Members (Giglio Boys & Giglio Girls), Families & Friends to join us at this prestigious event. We will be marching with the statue of our Patron Saint of our feast “Sant’ Antonio di Padua” and will be accompanied by The Sons of San Paolino Di Nola & Danny Vecchiano and the Giglio Band.

The Parade begins at 44th Street and 5th Avenue at 11:30 AM. We will all meet at 10:30 AM on 44th street between 5th and 6th Avenues. As this event will air on National TV we request that all participants wear proper attire (No shorts please). All Capo’s and Lieutenants are asked to wear last year’s button down shirts. All Paranza (both Children and Adults) please wear your Giglio shirts. All Family and Friends can wear any East Harlem Giglio Society shirt of their choice. Depending on the weather for that day your shirts can be worn over a jacket or sweater.

We hope to have a great turnout for this event. This year’s Feast was a tremendous success. We have proven that nothing can stop us from keeping our beautiful tradition alive, so let us keep the momentum going.

We will be interviewed on the “Red Carpet” on Prime-Time TV& Jimmy Alleva will be singing one of our favorite songs . This opportunity will give us National Recognition for our Beautiful Tradition of “Dancing the Giglio”.

We look forward to seeing you all at the Columbus Day Parade.

Sincerely,
Board of Directors
East Harlem Giglio Society
